I’m really angry to the blogger that copied my blog entry. It’s ok to have an excerpt of my entry but look, he copied it word by word and no difference at all.
He copied my post about SEO for blogspot. I got an idea about this entry in Bloggero.com (i’m not in anyway affiliated to bloggero.com) but as you can see I didn’t copied it. I just get an excerpt and write on my own words. But after some week, some kinda newbie blogger bravely commented on my blog and asking for a link exchange. As I check his blog, I have found out that he has a copied entry of my blog. As in he copy it word by word. No effort at all just copy and paste.
My original blog post: SEO for Blogspot » Bloggero — Blog Tools and News
Plagiarized post: vietnam-blogger.com/2008/01/seo-for-blogspot_13.html
I have already contacted this blogger and ask him to delete the post because he don’t have the right to copy my entries but still he didn’t do any action. Then for the next time, I warned him if he will still don’t do any action I’ll report him.
Entry stealer must die. They are just a pest in the blogosphere.! What can you say about this situation?

I don’t understand why anybody would want to copy a blog entry of yours as your grammer is horrific.

To Mike: It’s a common mistake but you yourself misspelled the word “grammar” while commenting on his poor grammar, so I find that that kind of lowers your credibility.
I know how terrible it is to have someone copy your work as I’ve had the same thing happen to me. The good thing is that you handled the situation well by contacting the perpetrator, instead of repeating his same actions.

How ironic?
Mike telling someone about grammar when you spell it grammar.
Nice job Mike, you have failed miserably.

I know that I have poor grammar and I have said it already in some of my previous post. I’m just a kid and not a professional one. Why would you copy a post with wrong grammar.. Does it mean that the one who copy my post with poor grammar is more poor in grammar than me? HAHA.

I’ve been a writer for over twenty years (professionally…I don’t count the stuff I used to write before I started earning money from it), and I have to say that plagiarism is the one thing that will tick me off quicker than anything else. You handled this situation as you should.
Yes, an improvement in grammar will also improve your return traffic, as quite a few people can be turned off, and also lend an air of “credibility to your writing.
None of this has anything to do with whether or not your thoughts are valid and worth sharing (they are), nor does it mean you should turn tail and run (which you’re not…I can tell.
)
Mike does have a point, but he managed to express it in a rather ironic manner. (By the way, Mike…I won’t be so crass as to point out your mispelling of “grammar”. You need a comma after “of yours” in your sentence, though.
) Keep working at improving your writing, and remember…in today’s internet-based society, grammar has fallen a bit by the wayside. Unfortunately. However, it’s not an impediment to success. Darren over at Problogger.net has errors in grammar in his posts all the time, and now he’s too rich and successful to care.
On the internet, write from your heart and mind, believe in what you’re doing, and listen to your critics…they may be jerks, but listening to them with an open mind (without getting your feelings hurt) is the best way to improve.
Keep it up…and slap a plagiarist…it won’t make them stop, but you’ll feel better.
